Summer Quarterly 2005 No.1 The Shining Path of the Sidhe.
Celtic Fire and Faerie follows the Shining Path of the Sidhe (Shee). What is this path?
As mentioned in the
article entitled Who Are the Faeries?, I understand the Sidhe to be
the great members of the Devic Realm. They are the Beings who volunteered
to come to Earth, in it's forming, carrying through their Beings, the
light streams of creation, for the natural realm. Every culture has
mention of the Great Beings of nature. Irish culture calls these beings
The Sidhe.
It is my own understanding that Earth is indeed a very special place,
because it is here that we humans get to practice the art of creation.
We are actually in a protected zone, perhaps more for the sake of those
other realms that we could affect through our thoughts, actions and
deeds, but also, through the slower timing that is between an idea and
its manifestation. On the finer planes of being Thoughts manifest instantly.
We are protected by the fact that only thoughts we truly work with come
right through to manifestation on the physical level. However, on the
finer levels be assured, that every thought, feeling and word is creating
the arena and the resonance for what manifests in our visible lives.
Everything holds consciousness at some level. It is our path of awakening
to realize, and recognize this, and then to co-create with the different
levels of consciousness. The Sidhe hold the consciousness of Nature.
Nature is far more than it seems. Those who have awakened to Nature
are aware of the extraordinary levels of consciousness that abide with
trees, flowers, rocks, water. What is special about Earth is that the
different Streams of Divine energies that manifest through the Natural
Order have volunteered to be the "stuff" of our creations.
This is my understanding of the phrase in the Bible that states that
man was given dominion over nature. The real truth of that is that Nature
volunteered for this position, and from the beginning to this day, reflects
back to man, the quality of his own creations.
We are now in the age of co-creation, co-creation with our own Souls,
with the Divinity within all people, and the Divinity within Nature.
Findhorn was a living example of this. Perelandra is a current example
of such incredible co-creation with Nature. For all those awakening
into this awareness I unreservedly recommend the Perelandra range of

Man, in his unenlightened state, believes Nature to be a lower form
of consciousness, there for him to use or abuse. As we grow in awareness
we realize that Nature holds the keys of light and that our own body
is an outpost of the natural order. When we "get" this and
begin to relate to and co-create with our bodies with this understanding,
then we realize that there is no separation between our own consciousness
and the state of our own health.
The Aboriginal Tribes of the world have long had this awareness and
each of these Tribes holds a deep respect for the powers in Nature.
Alignment with the natural order brings harmony and peace and health.
My own awakening to nature is an ongoing enlightenment. I realize more
and more that the level of consciousness that we bring to our creations
is mirrored back to us very clearly. When the land is stripped of its
natural ecosystem, and completely dominated by man's own interests,
then that consciousness is reflected back into the lives of those involved,
and further, into the lives of those who move at that level of consciousness.
Many of us have been aware of the role that our four-legged friends
play in our lives. As we ourselves grow in awareness, our animal friends
reflect that back to us. When we are still unconscious and not owning
our own causes and effects, the incredible love inherent in those animals
that choose to work with us, brings them to the place where they move
in and begin to carry our effects for us. I would go so far as to say
that most of the disease and illness that occurs in domestic animals
is caused by them carrying the effects of their people.
Nature not only volunteered to be the "stuff" of our creations,
it also volunteered to provide the Medicine for us along our path. Before
the globalization of our population, each area of nature carried the
specific medicine that was needed for the human inhabitants. It was
the work of the Medicine Tribes to decode and activate this medicine
for their people. More and more this consciousness is returning, despite
the apparent devastation of huge areas of the Natural Kingdom.
Mythology holds many keys. In many of the old stories animals and birds
carry messages for humans. Birds are understood as close to the Angelic
winged realm. In fact, Bird Song carries incredible medicine. The Birds
actually sing to the plant realm and in their song is the timing of
the natural clock of enfoldment. Bird Song assists in awakening the
flowers to their bloom.
Birds have been probably the most important along my own path, although
flowers, trees, rocks and four-leggeds are a close second !!! I have
had birds simply drop out of the sky and fly as close to my face as
possible, so that the energy of their wings ripples right through my
aura. They confirm so much to me and also bring their Medicine so often,
through their Song, and through their close contact. I understand deeply
why feathers are used in Native Medicine.
And all this leads back to the question, what is the Shining Path of
the Sidhe? The Shining of Path of the Sidhe is the path that the different
Streams of Nature entered upon, pathways of incredible light, into the
Earth realm, during creation. These light trails are still there. In
my own awakening, I have realized this path was will known to the Tuatha
de Danann, (pronounced Tooha day Danann). They, as a Tribe, worked closely
with these Light Streams and to the uninitiated this appeared as Magic.
They were/are creator Gods, who instead of dominating nature through
their own will, are aware of the Light within all Nature. The Light
is Divine and is waiting for us to realize it and to move more fully
into conscious co-creation with it.
This enlightened understanding of, and relationship with, Nature, is
deeply implied in the stories of the Grail. A true Grail King was one
who was "married" to the Land. The theme of Sovereignty of
the Land is found in the Grail myths. Sovereignty of the Land is the
realization that the Land indeed holds the keys of the Kingdom of Light.
By realizing this, and finding those keys, we move back into The Shining
Path of the Sidhe. It is then that the Natural Order begins to respond,
and to reveal its inner "mysteries".
One of the profound realizations that is there for us to find, is the
True Power within Nature. And that power is also awaiting realization,
or enlightenment within our own bodies. Our own bodies carry ALL the
codes of light from the Divine pre-form state of being. We are moving
as a collective back into that awareness. And to those of you out there
that are consciously assisting with this I feel a profound gratitude
of heart. I would love to have a "room" on this website that
contains information about the Centers of Light around the world that
are in this conscious co-creation with Nature. If you read this and
have such a center, public or private, I would love to have you listed
here.
